Equipment list
You need a backpack for day trips. An ideal backpack for day trips is about 25-40 liters. We're also going on some overnight trips, but we won't be going far, so a bag can be used. However, if you have a larger backpack - bring it along.
Reversing skirt
You need a sleeping bag. We won't be sleeping outside in winter, so it doesn't have to be a winter sleeping bag. A 3-season one is recommended. You'll also need a seat pad or a lightweight sleeping pad for day trips.
Sleeping bag and sleeping mat
You will need a small first aid kit with sports tape, chafing patches, plasters/bandages, scissors etc. for trips.
First aid and safety
You need waterproof hiking boots that go over the ankle. Feel free to buy hiking boots in good time before school starts so you can take them for a few walks to break them in.
Mountain shoes
You need good waterproof and windproof outerwear.
You also need a pair of breathable hiking trousers for use on autumn hikes. You need a hat, a buff and good warm mittens.
You also need two sets of woolen underwear and woolen socks.
You also need a down jacket or thick woolen sweater.
You'll also need other clothes you can wear in the classroom. These can be clothes that can withstand a bit of paint and are not so dangerous if they get damaged.
Clothing
You don't need to buy skis. One week in January, we take the whole school to Oppdal for a winter activity week. It is possible to rent snowboards or slalom skis in the ski resort.
Ski
You need a water bottle that can withstand boiling water (e.g. Nalgene). You'll also need a headlamp, dining set, thermos, knife, sunglasses and sunscreen.
The school provides all the equipment you need for crafts and creative activities.
